- This
eternal flame burns forever -
- in their remembrance -
This page is dedicated
to those Good Sam members who were once amongst us but are no more. They have
progressed from these earthly Chapters to be immortalized forever as members of
the "Texas Good Sam Everlasting Chapter."
Each year at the Texas Fall Samboree a Memorial Service is held to honor those
who have passed on since the previous Memorial Service. This is a joint endeavor
between the State Chaplain and Second Chance Sams.
Names have been immortalized through
year 2007
Though gone, they are
not forgotten.
Though absent, they remain in spirit.
Though once workers, they now rest.
Faithful
Forever

Along
life’s road they did wander,
Then came a day when they were no longer.
They’d wandered East, they’d ventured West,
Knowing down the highway lay their quest.
In
memory of them we have lit this flame.
Eternally it glows in their dear names.
They now become members of the Everlasting Chapter,
To be enshrined forever, and forever after.
We
owe them all a debt of gratitude
For they taught us the meaning of solitude.
They knew joy with a graceful manner,
And always, always - they were faithful ‘Good Sammer’s’.
In 2001 the Texas Good Sam Chapters created a memorial book
in which the names of all past, deceased members are included. This book is
available for viewing at each Samboree. The list for the year
2000 and later are complete and we are working to fill-in past years. Names of
individuals from past years or for the current year can be submitted via the
following form.
